Welcome to LodgingGuide.com's lodging listings for the Long Island area.
A frequent debate among New Yorkers concerns whether Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island are distinct areas.
Physically, they occupy the same land mass called Long Island, but culturally the area popularly known as Long Island,
comprising Nassau and Suffolk counties, is quite distinct from the New York Boroughs of Brooklyn and Queens.
Here you can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, explore the many small towns, each with its own quaint
appearance and history that spans hundred of years, tour some of the country’s best vineyards, shop and dine near
the shore where the fish are delivered virtually from boat to table, or tour incredible old mansions built by area founders.
When you finally discover a special, secluded beach that feels miles away from any civilization, despite the proximity
to one of the most populated and complex metropolitan areas on the planet, you will appreciate the most unique and
compelling aspect of Long Island’s appeal.
